Title: About the Journey
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Kyle
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 979
Prompt: Bite (T13; P01)
Summary: Guy and Kyle's honeymoon involves a lot of fur. And teeth. And claws. What, you expected it to be normal?
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Yeah, I'm still convinced they'd get married. And then stuff like this would happen. The Wacky Adventures of Married Guy and Kyle: A Comic Book for the 21st Century. I'd buy it.
Title: Snowed In
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Bea/Guy, Peggy Louise Gardner
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1390
Prompt: Cabin Fever (T7; P39)
Continuity: After the end of Guy Gardner: Warrior and JLA v.2, but before GL: Rebirth.
Summary: It's like a plot for a horror movie: Guy and Bea are snowed in at Warriors... with Guy's mom.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Now I desperately want to contrive a reason for Guy and Bea to have a bastard fire-baby.
Title: The Rest of the Way Home
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner

Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1791
Prompt: Exhaustion (T7; P28)
Summary: Like feathers in a hurricane: two Green Lanterns caught in a supernova.

Title: Domination Is
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Tora
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 2178
Prompt: Spank (T13; P48)
Summary: Guy thought he wanted a cruel mistress. Tora doesn't have a cruel bone in her body, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know what domination is.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: I've been trying to write domme!Tora for a while, mostly thanks to
doctorv, but it just didn't all come together until I read -- you guessed it -- Doc's good-girl domme Tora in Whipped. So now you know who to blame for this. Twice over.
( Being dominated isn't what Guy imagined it would be at all. )
Title: Tiger by the Tail
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy, Parallax
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3025
Prompt: Fight (T07; P27)
Continuity: A possible future roughly twenty-five years from now. The same continuity in which the Gardnerspawn exist.
Summary: A monster catches Guy. Guy catches a monster. Don't let go.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: This has existed, in nebulous form, in my head for about a year now. It never actually started to come together, though, until the Gardnerspawn started picking at my brain, and what finally made it click was sitting in front of my monitor today playing Dead Space for eight solid hours.
( Oh, I'm not kickin' you out, you son of a bitch. I'm keepin' you. Forever. )

Claim: The Dibnys
Characters/Pairing: Sue Dibny, Max Lord, L-Ron
Rating: PG
Word Count: 690
Prompt: Trust (T11; P05)
Continuity: Superbuddies
Summary: The Superbuddies have disappeared yet again, and there's not much else for Max and Sue to do but pass the time until the team gets back.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: This was originally going to be about how Sue deals with the stress of being the wife of a guy who gets himself into crazy life-threatening situations all the time, but somehow it ended up becoming more of a fluffy Max/Sue instead. Weird. Also, I think I must put Max's name in the title of every story I write that features him. Because he would want it that way.
( The Superbuddies had disappeared. )
Title: Persuasion
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Kyle
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1111
Prompt: Lick (T13; P02)
Summary: Kyle is tired. Guy is horny. Sometimes you have to be clever to get what you want.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Just some silly, slashy fluff. I still think they'd make a cute pair.
Title: Got Your Back
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy, Hal
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 761
Prompt: Got your back (T07; P33)
Summary: Guy and Hal go intergalactic barhopping. Mayhem ensues.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: I don't like using the prompt as the story title, but really, nothing else describes it better. And why is it I can so vividly imagine Kyle tied up with business back on Oa, fretting until Guy and Hal get back home safely?
( Oh yeah? )
So apparently I've finally reached the age where birthdays stop being cool. I mean, I knew it was coming eventually, but it's still depressing now that it's actually happened. The only people who even remembered were Chris and my mom -- granted, I don't have a lot of people that I mingle with IRL, but there are three other people living in my house right now who couldn't be bothered to even say hello today, much less happy birthday.
So I sat here this afternoon cheering myself up with fuzzy Guy stories. GLC comes out tomorrow, and if Guy says yes when Tora proposes (and it ends up being for real and not a Star Sapphire plot), I will gladly consider that just about the best birthday present ever.
Title: Winter
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Tora
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 956
Prompt: Ice (T13; P58)
Summary: Guy never liked winter until he met Tora.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Dear Green Lantern Corps #29: Please don't break my heart tomorrow.
( Guy has never been a fan of ice and snow. )

Characters/Pairing: Guy/Tora, their rabid Gardnerspawn (Gunnar, Garth, Griffin, Rocky, and Grady), Guy/???
Rating: R
Word Count: 4,005
Prompt: Save me from myself... (T14; P09)
Continuity: The future or something.
Summary: Peppermint Baby wasn't supposed to happen. But he happened anyway, and Guy is just barely hanging on.
Disclaimer: DC owns them..
Author's Notes/Warnings: If you're really interested in the thought process behind this, check out my essay on the topic. And yes, I know I've said before that Guy should be surrounded by girls, but I shouldn't be surprised that the kids that created themselves most readily in my mind were boys. I find it much easier to write males than females, for some odd reason. The Gardnerspawn will likely return eventually.
( Tora had been quietly but persistently suggesting for weeks that Guy needed to get out of the house. But when, on a fine Sunday afternoon, he got the stroller out of the closet and started unfolding it, she suddenly changed her tune. )

Title: Mister Hal Jordan
Author: Duskdog
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Hal
Rating: R (sexual situations, but nothing in graphic detail)
Word Count: 2084
Prompt: vulnerable (T12, P02)
Summary: Guy Gardner, young gym teacher from Baltimore, meets a handsome stranger named Mister Hal Jordan who seems to know more than he lets on.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes: This is what DC gives us about Guy and Hal's first meeting from the old Secret Origins comic: Hal finds out that he has an alternate who almost became Green Lantern instead of him, so, curious about his competition, he goes to Baltimore in his civilian identity and introduces himself to Guy at the gym. The story he gives is that he's a salesman, and he looked Guy up because rumor has it that Guy is the best handball player in town. Handball, people. Of all the sports they could have chosen (which don't even seem like sports Guy would actually play), this is what they chose. Much later, on his way to California with his schoolkids, Guy sits about mooning about Hal on the bus. He can't wait to see him again. Honestly, I didn't even have to stretch my imagination to make this story happen. In its original form as given to us by DC, the subtext is practically text. Handball. Hee.
It should also be noted that the Guy Gardner of this time period is different from the man he would later become. He was trying very hard to be a good boy and was a lot more reserved than both his teenage and later Green Lantern self, so the struggle here was reconciling that side of Guy with what I knew about his earlier and later personality.
( The stranger was young and wellspoken and, Guy had to admit, very handsome. )

Characters/Pairing: Guy/Tora, Joey
Rating: G
Word Count: 488
Continuity: New World Order
Summary: Baby Joey knows exactly four words. "Football" isn't one of them.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em. Joey and the NWO belong to
Author's Notes/Warnings: Another random snippet of NWO parenthood, partially inspired by talking to a Norwegian lady at the dentist today and getting her lovely accent stuck in my head.
Author: Duskdog
Characters/Pairing: Guy, Ted
Rating: R (language)
Word Count: 1,581
Prompt: Vulnerable (T12; P02)
Continuity: The very beginning of the JLI "Breakdowns" storyline, when Max is in the hospital fighting for his life, right after Guy and Ted's disasterous boxing match.
Summary: How do you repair a friendship that may have never even existed in the first place? With hospital vending machine hot chocolate, of course.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Guy and Ted: friends or not? I don't think any writer was ever quite sure until after Ted died and Guy was suddenly all "Rar! You killed my friend!" about it. But that's extremely in-character for Guy, who never got along with any Green Lanterns, and yet was the one putting up statues and getting portraits painted after the Corps went belly-up. Anyway, their love-hate relationship intrigues me. Thus, this.

Continuity: The Cootieverse

Author's Notes/Warnings: The Cootieverse sure has gotten painfully bittersweet.

Continuity: Sometime after Guy and Kyle move to Oa, but before Kyle hooks up with Hal for real. Also references Addicton in a roundabout way.

Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,770
Prompt: Sacrifice (T07; P07)
Continuity: Shortly after Green Lantern Corps #20, but taking a bit of liberty with events happening in Green Arrow/Black Canary
Summary: Just knowing that Kyle loves Connor is enough of a reason for Guy to do the right thing.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: Wow, I have no idea where this came from, other than the fact that I now have Guy/Kyle on the brain, and I always want to have Guy visit people who are in comas. Heavy angst (probably due to the fact that it was written at work on the back of some old forms).
Author: Duskdog
Claim: Guy Gardner
Characters/Pairing: Guy/Kyle (with bonus implied Halosexuality)
Rating: NC-17 (only one brief scene -- the majority of the story doesn't really fit this rating)
Word Count: 4,678
Prompt: Lust (T13; P56)
Continuity: Current Green Lantern Corps (sometime after the Sinestro Corps War, but before the Blackest Night)
Summary: Guy takes Kyle the the best brothel in the universe. But then Kyle accidentally presses Guy's crazy-button, and things take a turn for the weird. If Kyle hadn't been so oblivious all along, he might not be so surprised...
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: I prefer my Guy and Kyle as they currently are in GLC: friends, teammates, and business partners. But in contemplating Guy/Kyle slash, it occurred to me that, if they were interested in each other, they would both totally rush into a serious relationship because they're both serious-relationship guys, and... it would probably also be the most stable relationship that either of them has ever had. Seriously. They'd be happily married within six months, and stay that way forever.

Author's Notes/Warnings: Yeah, this... this isn't going to end well. Kyle and Arisia are probably planning an intervention as we speak. John and Salaak, on the other hand, are probably planning a vacation.

Characters/Pairing: Guy, Major Force
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 358
Prompt: Pulse (T11; P30)
Continuity: The end of Guy's fight with Major Force in Guy Gardner: Warrior #44
Summary: Guy is dead. Oh, wait, nevermind. He's alive again.
Disclaimer: DC owns 'em.
Author's Notes/Warnings: A bit of background: Warrior Guy had a tiny extra organ in his chest that no one could explain. After Major Force tears his heart out (literally), the tiny extra organ grows into a replacement heart as Guy is lying on the ground thinking he's dying. Vuldarian biology = win (and not just because I got to watch Guy run around shirtless for twenty-odd issues).
