Okay this part has to do with Geoff Johns and Jeff Katz run on Booster Gold. Unlike the Time Masters series any hints that we pick up are intentional. Geoff Johns' work in general does tend to hint of things to come. He even hints of things to come in his other books on Rips' boards. Since I haven't gotten around to getting the first GJ written Rip Hunter in his JSA story I'm going to assume this plot line wasn't always in the cards.

Discovered last night that my Ghostbusters shirt glows in the dark. How did I not realize that before?

Thus far, this is the only pic posted so far of me at YuleCon. Note the Awkward Mistletoe. You can't see it very well, but there is a hella creepy elf on top of it. By the end of the day, we had to remove it because it was staring at us with its creepy, judging EYES. (More pics will be made available once they're posted.)

Had early Thanksgiving with my parents this weekend, since we were in town for YuleCon. Was good to see them. Acquired some books and DVDs from Half-Price Books while we were there.

The cats got fleas. Bad. Now the whole apartment has them. Bought a flea bomb and some flea spray earlier today. Just need to find a time when we'll be able to get things out of the way and get us and the cats out of the apartment for about two hours. In the mean time, fleas. *headdesk*

I probably won't finish my NaNo by the end of the month, not least of which because my keyboard is fucked¹, but at least I'm making progress. I have about four pages so far and I know what the plot is now. I also have a beginning and end. So I think I'm going to finish it eventually, regardless of deadlines. :) I'm happy with it.

Can't think what else I might've meant to babble about. Oh well, I can always do another entry if I remember.

Yeah another one of my ramblings. I just tend to over think things, usually when on my commutes and this one stuck out. Around CTIC there Beetle/Booster fans pointed out that Ted could have worked within the system if he wanted to expose the truth.

So YuleCon is done and over with. Tons of fun were had. I still have dye and mousse in my hair. Photos and video were taken. As soon as that started getting posted places, I'll link it.

And now, I think I'm going to cut all the rest of the black from my hair and make my hair however short the length of my roots is. I don't know of any other cons in the area for the next couple months, so I've no more use for the amount of hair I have. ^_^

Notes: I took some liberties with the characters and I'm not sure how well I have Wrath/King Bradley pegged. I also played around a bit with Lust's personality and how it relates to her name and the nature of the sin. Please tell me what you think of it all, I've got no problem with accepting criticism, so have at it. :)

Alright Boostle, here's the dealio:

DC Entertainment has just sent you a super top secret important letter. They want you to oversee the creation of JLI/SuperBuddies: The animated series! (Or just Blue and Gold: TAS if you prefer) You shall rule its production with an iron fist. How do you do it? What style do you choose? Tone? What characters do you use? How would you interpret/adapt the characters? What specific story lines, if any, do you adapt? How do you adapt them? Cast? Creative team? And don't just think about what you personally would want to see, think about what you think would be a successful show!

Rulez: You cannot just say "I would make it exactly like the comic/ as close to the comic as possible" or "I would make it exactly like the Bruce Timm cartoons". That's too easy.

I'm... new-ish around here. I've got a few fics I'm working on, but nothing complete. :(

But, I have been playing the Sims 3 a lot and I made Booster and Beetle Sims. Well, technically Michael Carter and Ted Kord Sims, but whatever. I took screencaps and did my best with witty commentary.

Geoff Johns tends to foreshadow things in his work, a lot of time it's in the character diolog an issue or more before we grasp the true importances of the statement. Dan Jurgens has done this too with Booster joking that Michelle shouldn't have been saved by Rip, which later is a serious point for Michelle herself. Reading (for the eighth or so time) Booster Gold 26 it struck me that there was an important reason for Wonder Womans' last aside with Booster.

Likely I'm reading too into Jurgens/Johns planning this arc and it's connection to Blackest Night. This will likely never come close to happening in the issue its' self. The only time I can recall being right on the money on guessing what was to come in comics was that Connor and Spike would get along to the point it annoyed Angel. Nevertheless I'm posting the idea that won't get out of my head.

Tried to make lemon chicken today. I won't share the gory details, but the end result was that the lemon sauce sucked donkey ass. I thought it tasted way too salty and Colin thought it tasted way too lemony, so together we decided it was a bust and dumped in the trash and ordered pizza from Panago. Oh well.

When I get bored I diddle around with alternate universes.

I've been thinking of doing this for awhile. Having posts that show the how Rips' history gels with Boosters', etc. I will admit some of these are the most shallow of "hints" especially since in this part the writer(s) wasn't attempting to leave clues at all. Straight from the Time Masters mini series.
